Last year, he was the top-winning artist at the Billboard Music Awards, had the highest-grossing tour of 2023, and had the most-streamed song of any genre. Most recently, he broke Garth Brooks’ record for the longest-running #1 country album in Billboard 200 history.

In addition to his success as a recording artist, Wallen is also a highly sought-after songwriter in Nashville. His last album, One Thing At A Time, included a whopping 36 tracks, and the album before that, Dangerous: The Double Album, was composed of 30 songs. “Brown Eyes Baby” recorded by Keith Urban

Keith Urban said he had a “visceral reaction” to this song and added, “Once I heard it a lot more, I realized it’s everything: it’s the lyric, it’s the melody, it’s the way the song is written. It just connected. It made a connection with me.” Urban did not know that “Brown Eyes Baby” was written by Morgan Wallen until after he decided to record it, since the demo was sung by co-writer Josh Thompson.
